Your data on 5Stacks

5Stacks runs VALORANT custom lobbies with our own community ELO. This page says what we keep about you, why, who can see it, and how to have it removed. Questions or requests: [email protected].

What we collect

  • Your Riot account. When you sign in with Riot we receive your account's ID (PUUID), your Riot ID (name and tag) and your VALORANT region. We never see or store your Riot password: you enter it on Riot's own page.
  • Your player card. The ID of the VALORANT player card you have equipped, to show it as your avatar.
  • What you do on 5Stacks. The lobbies you create or join, your team, ready state and role pick, invites, friends and friend requests, and messages you write in a lobby chat.
  • Match results. For matches played through 5Stacks: the score, and each player's agent, kills, deaths, assists, score, damage, headshots and first bloods, read from Riot's match records after the game. From these we compute your 5Stacks ELO and level.
  • The desktop app, if you use it. It reads what your own Riot Client reports on your PC (whether VALORANT is open, in a menu or in a match; the map, score, your agent and ping during a 5Stacks match) and sends that to us, so your lobby can show it. Your Riot Client's sign-in tokens stay on your PC.
  • Technical data. A session token that keeps you signed in, and whether you are online right now. Our servers see your IP address when you connect, as any website does.

We don't collect payment details, we don't run ads, and we don't use analytics or tracking cookies.

Why

  • To sign you in and keep you signed in.
  • To run lobbies and matches: teams, map veto, party codes, chat, invites and friends.
  • To rate matches and keep the leaderboard and your profile: ELO, level, results and stats.
  • To keep the service fair and working: spotting abuse, fixing problems.

Who can see it

  • Other players see your Riot ID, avatar, ELO, level, role pick, online status, and your profile: your match history, results and stats. Lobby chat is visible to the players in that lobby.
  • Riot Games. We ask Riot's official APIs about your account and your matches. Riot's own privacy notice covers what Riot does with your data.
  • Services we rely on. Our hosting provider stores the data for us. Player card and map images load from valorant-api.com, a community content service, which sees your IP address when your browser fetches them. If you use Discord with the desktop app, the app shows your 5Stacks activity in your Discord status through the Discord app on your PC.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

  • Your account, ELO and match records: while your account exists, so the ladder stays correct.
  • Lobby chat: at most the last 100 messages of a lobby, for a day.
  • Online status and what the desktop app reports during a match: minutes to hours, then gone.
  • Sessions: 30 days after you were last active, or until you sign out.

Your choices

  • See or delete your data. Email [email protected] from the address you want us to answer, with your Riot ID. We delete your account and the data tied to it within 30 days. Results of matches you played stay as anonymous results so other players' ratings don't change.
  • Stop using 5Stacks. Sign out at any time. To have your account removed too, email us as above.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have more rights over your data (for example under the GDPR). Write to us and we'll help.

Children

5Stacks is for players who meet Riot's age requirements for VALORANT in their country. It isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly keep their data.

Browser storage

We keep your session token and a few display preferences in your browser's local storage. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top, and say so on the site when the change is a big one. Questions: [email protected].
